ICM Construction was engaged to complete the transformation and modernisation of this iconic outback Queensland tourism destination.
The project was completed over a 6-month period while the museum was closed. Several challenges were encountered, including the need to access the roof for repainting. It was essential to gain access before daily temperatures exceeded 40 degrees. Furthermore, the internal ceiling height exceeded 10 meters, presenting an extra difficulty. Another challenge involved manoeuvring elevated work platforms around the museum’s complex and valuable antique displays.
The project was completed within the specified timeframe to facilitate the museum’s reopening to the public.
