Follow Us On

We are not the oldest or the largest commercial contractor.

ICM Construction is committed to safely delivering projects on time and on budget. Our team has extensive knowledge of a variety of delivery methods across a broad range of contract typologies.

Our knowledge and experience in commercial and industrial construction has seen us grow rapidly over the past five years.

No job is too big or too small.

We focus on long term relationships by building trust. Put simply we want to work with you for the long term.

We have secured work in a broad range industry sectors and the size and complexity of our projects is growing.  Many of our clients have completed multiple projects with ICM Construction – the surest sign that we deliver great outcomes that are competitively priced.

A large part of our success is linked to our preparedness and capacity to deliver projects in regional areas.  We pride ourselves in our record of using local trades and services where possible – we want to add to the activity and engagement with the local community.

Our National Team

Our biggest achievement is the recruitment of a diverse, skilled and experienced team of construction professionals. Our leaders identified that there had to be a better way to deliver great built outcomes safely, on time and on budget. Taking their experience and crafting an approach that is uniquely ICM’s is our competitive edge. A review of our leaders’ project experience will highlight that with ICM you are in safe hands. Egos don’t get in our way. We will engage with you in a positive and professional manner. When problems occur – and they always do – we won’t come with our hand out, we will identify options and recommend a solution that recognises your drivers and your budget.

Our Services

We are a relatively young company but in our short “life” we have achieved a lot. Our success is underpinned by the experience of our project teams. Whilst the brand of ICM may not have a strong portfolio of industrial project, our people do. And we believe the success of any project is due to the people not the company.

Cost Planning

Cost planning is a high level assessment of the constructability of a proposed project.

Cost plans can be fed into feasibility studies to assist with land value and ROR calculations.

Our team has access to current construction rates and so can provide high level overviews of project costs with short turnaround times.

Early Contractor Involvement (ECI)

The ECI literally represents Early Contractor Involvement.

This delivery approach sees a preferred builder selected in the very early stages of a project’s consideration.  Contractors are often selected because of their portfolio of work demonstrates that they have the experience and capacity to deliver the project.

Engaging a contractor allows the consultant team – architects and engineers – to become more focussed on how their designs can be optimised to deliver cost effective, functional building buildings.

These arrangements often provide the consultant and builder team with a target budget.  If the project can be delivered at or below budget the client commits to appointing the builder without tender.

Method of contracting takes the partnership between ICM and the client to the next level.

By considering the ECI delivery model, the client encourages ICM to contribute to the buildability of the project through enhancing cost savings and smoother delivery.

Design & Construction

D&C contracting emerged in recent years as project developers looked to allocate the construction risk to the builder.

Such contracts encourage the builder to examine delivery programs, material selection and proactively seek and implement cost saving initiatives.

ICM has delivered a significant number of projects under this contracting method across a broad range of industry sectors.

At ICM we seek the best possible design alternatives. During the design and construct process, we will integrate our knowledge and ability to problem solve to ensure the most efficient design solution is delivered.

11

Construct Only

This traditional method of contracting is used when the client has fully developed the project through to construction drawing.

This method of contracting is often linked to projects where the design is fully resolved and the client is seeking to achieve a very specific design and functionality outcome
