St Mary Mackillop is located in the township of Wallaroo approximately 160km from Adelaide. It is a South Australian Catholic Education school providing a unique learning experience for the community. The new building offers an interactive learning space for students and teachers promoting coeducational learning in an open space environment.
As the school is expanding plans have been in place for a new learning centre consisting of a shared open space learning areas with adjoining classrooms. The new building opens out onto a central open area with recreational facilities including basketball and four square courts.
The development compliments the already expansive grounds and interacts with the adjacent existing school buildings. Consideration and planning has been given to the school operations to maintain fluid connections between the existing infrastructure and the new building. The development also upgrades the existing staff parking facilities.
