Like you, many of our team members completed a construction-based university qualification. We understand that you may be unsure of what your career in construction will look like. Considering this, we have designed our Cadetship Program to provide you with a structured and measured way to participate in the various streams to help you decide what fits you best. Becoming an ICM Cadet will give you hands on, practical experience in a range of construction roles.

Our aim is to make your transition from university to the construction industry as smooth and productive as possible.

Participating in our Program, you will learn about our business and our people, as well as the broader construction industry, developing an understanding of how our teams operate and how they successfully execute complex and challenging projects.

We know that no two graduates are the same. We have tailored our Cadetship program to allow you to match your goals, interests and strengths. This flexibility will give you the opportunity to define your “position” on the ICM team.

What you will get from our Program:

Financial assistance

Financial assistance to reduce the burden study costs – the right candidate will qualify for up to $10,000 per annum to cover tuition fees;

ON-THE-JOB TRAINING

Responsibility as part of a team delivering projects for clients – you won’t be an observer you will be doing real work;

MENTORSHIP

A dedicated mentor assigned to guide you through the program as well and quarterly graduate networking and learning events with business leaders within and outside ICM.

Kickstart your career

Kickstart your career through a wide variety of experiences and challenges – building upon your university studies with hands on experiences;

A REALISTIC APPROACH TO OUTSIDE LIFE

Balance between work, study and your personal life. Because we understand that a healthy social life build a better employee;

The Programme

Like all things of value in life you get out what you put in. ICM will be there on your journey to guide and assist you through the program. You will be placed in a broad range of roles to ensure you gain comprehensive exposure to the entire construction process.

The ICM Graduate Program is planned to provide you integrated work and study over two years. You will be rotated through four elements of construction over your two-year program:

• Site Management
• Contract Administration
• Estimating and Cost Planning
• Safety and Quality

You will spend a minimum of 5 months in each of the four disciplines listed above. The order will be determined by project opportunities that are presented over that period of time.
